Pilate interviewed Jesus and found no guilt in him, yet he allowed him to be crucified.  The two men crucified alongside Jesus each responded very differently to their encounter with him.  The Roman Centurion carrying out the crucifixion, in the end, acknowledged Jesus was the Son of God.  

All these guys encountered Jesus in his last days and had to decide, what will I do with this Jesus?  We all have to come to that decision at one point or another.
