This is the pilot episode of my new radio show Handheld Travel. It's a show that will be about going places. Places that are hard to get to and other places that are interesting, confounding and sometimes a little bit scary.

This first story comes from Pyongyang, North Korea. I visited there in September to attend the 2018 Mass Games.

Needless to say I was hesitant to out myself as a potential journalist. But here are some audio impressions. Most of this was recorded with my Huawei smartphone. Everything about this is experimental.
