He is the former President of Research and Development at Pfizer, where he worked for over 30 years, and is presently a partner at Pure Tech pharmaceuticals. Outside of work, he is the author of two books “Drug Truths, Dispelling The Myths Of R&D (Wiley, 2008) and Devalued And Distrusted: Can The Pharmaceutical Industry Restore Its Broken Image? (Wiley, 2013). He has appeared on the Dr. Oz show, written for Forbes magazine, and was on the Board of Trustees at Boston College, his alma mater.
