In the early hours of 27 November, a blockade was undertaken by a loose collective of Arrernte Traditional Owners, health workers and concerned community members, Mparntwe for Palestine, that is demanding the permanent closure of Pine Gap and the withdrawal of the Australian Government's support for Israel's genocidal occupation of Palestine. This time two protestors were secured to a concrete barrel on Hat Rd, one of whom the Big Brekky team spoke with, Tommy as well as with Declan Furber Gillick, an Arrernte writer who was at the scene.
