Pioneer DJ has launched an Apple Care-like extended warranty option for its pro DJ gear. Called AlphaTheta Care Pro, it comes in two flavours, extending the manufacturer’s one-year warranty to three years and covering wear, tear and damage, and also optionally covering damage from accidental liquid spills.

The gear covered includes the DDJ-FLX10, DDJ-REV7, DJM-900NXS2, DJM-A9, DJM-S7. DJM-S11, DJM-V10, DJM-V10-LF, Opus Quad, PLX-1000, XDJ-1000MK2, XDJ-RX3, XDJ-XZ, XDJ-XZ, DDJ-1000 and DDJ-1000SRT.

It appears that at this time the extended warranty is only available in the USA, and that prices begin at $169. There’s an extensive form that needs to be completed for each piece of gear you wish to include in your warranty, where you upload receipt scans, serial numbers and so on in order to activate a plan.
