This week on the Niche Cast we chat through some basketball matters including the Canterbury Rams dominance in the NBL, kiwis moving around the Australian NBL and Yanni Wetzel's impressive performances overseas. We update the latest of Chris Wood as well as a few more New Zealand footballers overseas before discussing the state of Football Ferns. Auckland FC are still on top of the A-League ladder and we put the spotlight on Logan Rogerson as part of a big Auckland FC yarn, before sliding over to Wellington Phoenix who had a win last weekend. This leads to a bigger picture perspective about both Phoenix teams as they have a bunch of matters that need to be resolved heading into next season starting with their coaches. NZ Warriors had a bye this round in the NRL but we chat through a few leftover notes before rolling through a bunch of Kiwi-NRL things such as debuts for Moses Leo and Sean Mullany, Sebastian Kris' form and some deep cuts in the junior ranks. We finish with Brett Hampton's first game of County Championship, Blackcaps performances vs Pakistan and the 10 best young cricketers in New Zealand after the summer season.
