WINDOM — The Pipestone Area and Windom Area football teams squared off in the Section 3AA tournament last October 2025. The Eagles eventually nipped the Arrows, 38-36.  However, these days, both PAS and Windom share a painful truth — the Arrows and Eagles were both gutted by graduation. New talent is in development. TYLER — For the second straight season, the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton football team opened by shutting out Yellow Medicine East. The Knights blanked the Sting, 34-0, as quarterback Brayden Chandler went 7-of-12 passing for 111 yards and two TD. Chandler also rushed 15 times for 107 yards and two more scores.  Micah Johnson also fared well for the Knights as the team’s leading rusher with 114 yards on 15 carries. Homecoming activities at Pipestone Area Schools (PAS) started the first day of school this year when members of the senior class nominated king and queen candidates. The candidates were announced on the second day of school, Wednesday, Sept. 2. Rebuilding Together Minnesota, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps qualifying homeowners make repairs to their homes, now has office hours in Pipestone.
