EDGERTON — The Edgerton Public Schools’ football team played Hills-Beaver Creek tough once again.  However, the Rock is staying put in Hills.  “We made some big plays on offense with a couple of long TD runs, ad we were able to connect through the air as well,” HBC head coach Rex Metzger said.  Said Edgerton head coach Andrew Fleischman in a post-game interview with Christensen Broadcasting, “Defensively, we wanted to be aggressive and take chances. MADISON, S.D. — Sean Griesse is a redshirt freshman on the Dakota State University football ream.  Griesse is listed as a free safety on the roster.  He has played in three games this season: on Sept. 5, at Black Hills State, Oct. 3 against Montana Tech and Oct. 10 playing Dickinson State (N.D.). Are you not a morning person?  The Ewert Community Recreation Center has started evening classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Danielle Evers serves as the instructor on both days.  The Monday class is SoulFusion strength and flow, running from 5:15-6 p.m. It’s a music-based workout blending yoga, balance and strength.  The Tuesday session is SoulFusion cardio and core, running from 5:15-6 p.m. This is a music-based workout combining Pilates with cardio bursts. Runners enjoyed ideal conditions  during the second annual Pipestone Area Schools Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 8. Against the backdrop of Pipestone Country Club, the Arrows served as party hosts. Skies were mostly sunny, and temperatures in the 70s.  Local pastor Jennings Wallace was in charge of leading runners across the snaky 5,000-meter course, which features minor terrain changes. Dawn and Scott Heidebrink also helped operating the trail car. Buffalo Ridge Timing provided its expertise taking statistics.  “The meet went extremely well,” PAS head coach Mark Moeller said. “I couldn’t have done it without the the help of some great people.” ...

EDGERTON — The Southwest Minnesota Christian boys soccer team is having one of its strongest seasons on record.  And for Eagles fans, it’s brought back memories of the 2001 Class A state title-winning squad.  SWC defeated Class AA Worthington, 2-0, on an unseasonably warm Tuesday, Oct. 6.
