Justin is a disabled combat veteran who served as a Gunners Mate in the US Navy. Called "Pirate Hunter" by many, he is well known for gallantry in action during the 2010 pirate attack on the U.S.S. Ashland. His valiant efforts in defense of that ship helped our government obtain the first judicial conviction for piracy in over 200 years!

In December 2017, Justin began laying the ground work for a new company focused on developing the veteran community, which was suffering from an epidemic of  suicide.  A related mission was coaching non-veterans who were looking for meaning in their lives.  In April 2018, Justin founded "Signs By Veterans," in order to teach veterans to provide high-quality and selfless service for their clients.  Justin believes that generating purpose for veterans is a powerful way to decrease the number of suicides from the current 22 a day. 

Justin is recognized throughout the industry as a leading expert and influencer. He has been featured in Signs of the Times and Sign Builder Magazine . He was nominated for Forbes 30Under30, selected as one of the 2021 Young Sign Makers by Sign Builder Illustrated, achieved top 3 finalist for Digital Output’s "International Sign Application of the Year" in 2017, and is a frequent guest on business and personal development-related podcasts.
