Have you ever had a brisket’s flat curl up on you during the cook or had the point end of it char up on you before the bark had really set? If so, you aren’t alone. That is not unusual but it is driven by one important element of the cook and that, my friends, is the heat.

You can learn more about the Pit Room, our upcoming men’s community from Life Around the Pit, at www.lifearoundthepit.com/community and can also sign up for the waitlist to be the first to hear about when it launches.

I’m also excited because this past week I released a new Barbecue Planning and Preparation Pack on the website that is great for anyone interested in cooking for larger groups and events. This guide gives you over 30 questions that you need to ask the event coordinator, it gives you a packing checklist of over 30 items you will need when you cook at events, and it also includes a food quantity guide that will help you calculate the amount of meat and sides you will need to provide to ensure all of the guests have plenty of food. This guide is a MUST for you to help you save time, energy and stress in cooking situations. You can get that at www.lifearoundthepit.com/planandpreppack
