Riki was a collegiate athlete - a pole vaulter from high school to college. She spent about 6 months of her senior year of college in England studying. Riki and her family immigrated from the Philippines to the United States when she was nine years old, and she obtained US citizenship in 2017.
Riki discusses her motivations for making the big change in this episode, including her love and interest in science.
