How do you define success? It's a question leading democratic political strategist Emily Tisch Sussman had to answer after having three children in just three years and leave behind the career she thought she would have forever. So she pivoted into something new, and her namesake podcast "She Pivots" was born. Emily gets honest about her journey to motherhood, how she learned to redefine success and why she's focused on cultural change today as it relates to careers.
Tata’s Tip of the Week: Practice Pretend Play
Practicing pretend play helps children understand empathy by pretending that you are in someone else's shoes, supports language development and helps develop social skills. Topics discussed:
-Reinventing yourself and your career as a mother should not be intimidating
-Everybody goes through something that changes their perspective
-Having it all is a myth created by generations before that is an unrealistic standard
-How you define success will keep changing throughout life
