Though Plaid Dracula hails from Brooklyn, NY, they could just as easily be from Transylvania in an alternate universe where the gothic landscape was covered in glitter. While their name might evoke a dark and sinister sonic territory, the band actually keeps things on the poppier, more rockin’ side of their self-proclaimed “glam-trash” genre (which is maybe a bit closer to Love And Rockets than Bauhaus). They even go so far as to rip a moody cover of the Cars’ classic “My Best Friend’s Girl” which sounds totally at home on their EP. The trio of Sam Gelernter, Rachel Adler, and Ethan Schneider stopped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to share some of their original tunes with us.
