We see Joseph with a good plan that he works to good effect - many lives are saved during the terrible seven-year famine. Planning is a good and God-pleasing thing: it helps us be good stewards of his gifts and can even, as God blesses, give the opportunity to be a blessing to others. For our eternal comfort and joy, God worked a perfect plan over centuries and millenia - he sent his Son at the perfect time to save.
