Planetary Rulers: Days of the Week

Ever wonder why your low energy on Monday? Or why you are always feeling good on Fridays and ready for date night? Every day of the week is ruled by a different planet in astrology. We have seven traditional planets that correspond with the seven days of the week. Keeping in mind the daily planetary rulership will help you plan your schedule week to week without having to know a ton about astrology.

TUESDAY: Ruled by Mars. On Tuesday’s you will likely have a lot of energy. Make sure to get your workout in and go after your to do list! Mars is our raw primal energy, and goes after whatever is in front of them. Tuesday’s are great days to put yourself out there and go after what you want. However, this may not be the best day for you to plan.

WEDNESDAY: Ruled by Mercury. Mercury rules communication, learning, details, and also rules day to day life. You are likely to be a lot more detail oriented and able to fine tune things. Use Wednesday’s to focus on emails, communication of all types, editing, and scheduling for the week.

THURSDAY: Ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of learning, luck, higher eduction, spirituality, and abundance. You are likely to be much more optimistic, open minded, and able to see the bigger picture. Great activities for Thursday: taking a course, getting reiki, meditating, channeling, medicine journey’s, or pitching services/packages to new clients.

FRIDAY: Ruled by Venus. Venus is the planet of love, beauty, art, money, connection, relationships of all types and romance. You may feel a little more connected to yourself and your partner on Friday’s. This is the perfect day for date nights, shopping, creating art, reviewing your budget, getting a beauty treatment done, or pitching services/packages to new clients.

SATURDAY: Ruled by Saturn. Saturn is the planet of discipline, structure, order, responsibility and limitation. It’s also the planet of delays and consequences. Saturdays may not feel as relaxing as we’ve been programmed they “should” be. This is a really great day to create and accomplish your to do list and complete any tasks you been putting off.

SUNDAY: Ruled by the Sun. The Sun rules our vitality, sense of purpose and what we consider to be “real.” If you’re a water sun, feelings are what’s real. If your an earth sign, whats physical is what’s real. The sun is a visible “planet” (luminary), so Sunday’s are a great day to promote yourself and plan to be visible. This is also a wonderful day to get in touch with your higher power + your higher self.

MONDAY: Ruled by the Moon. The Moon rules our emotions, the way we nurture and our inner world. It also rules sleep, and our intuition. You may feel more lethargic and in need of more rest. The moon also changes signs more than any other planet. This means your energy level will vary drastically week to week. Focus on nourishing yourself body and soul. Take a bath, cook a nutrient rich meal, or connect with your intuition. Take it easy on Monday’s. Honor your divine feminine.
