Our neighbor invited her young grandson, “Why don’t we sit down, and I’ll read you a book?”
He replied, “Nope, too busy. There’s farming to do!” During the upcoming planting season, farmers will find her grandson’s statement to be especially true.
As seniors, we should be busy with a planting season, too. We may not be able to drive a tractor, or plant a vegetable or flower garden anymore, but we are still able to plant the seed of God’s Word in our families, friends, and in our neighborhoods. The apostle Paul reminds us that while we plant this seed, it is God who will give the seed growth.
So, when your day seems filled, remember, “Nope, I’m not too busy. There’s planting of God’s Word to do!”
