Valerie Woerner's mission is to help women live intentional lives that are an outflow of a fruitful, focused prayer life. She is the author of multiple books including her latest, Pray Confidently and Consistently, and the host of the podcast, Prayer in a Noisy World. She is also the owner of Val Marie Paper, where she designs prompted prayer journals and other practical products that eliminate distraction and increase focus in prayer. Valerie lives in Lafayette, Louisiana with her husband, Tyler, and their two daughters.

In this episode Valerie and I talk all about stewarding the platform of prayer with our creator and how powerful prayer is in all of our other platforms. We talk about how prayer is the vessel of communication with God and how it is the first defense in this crazy broken world. We talk about how prayer is the way to abide in His will as long as you are consistently knowing who He is by being in His word. You can’t know Him truly, if you don’t know His word and spend time with Him. Valerie also covers how we can be praying with the wrong motives and how we can adjust the posture of our hearts by knowing who God is.
Valerie gives us a peek into her amazing testimony to how she came to know the Lord and how that has played a huge role in her gifts that He has entrusted to her. How this testimony and struggles she has walked through has molded how she stewards the platforms the Lord has entrusted to her.
We talk about the platform of prayer, motherhood, writing, and the impact of prayer. We unpack some of the nitty gritty things that have taken place in the midst of trying to abide in His word all for Him and how she approaches this with prayer and a strong focus on the Lord.
