Oh, friends.
So no one told you life was gonna be this way..."
In this episode of the Platinum Moms Podcast, Tia and HoJo are talking about friends (and notRoss, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Monica or Chandler).
Make some. Have some. Be one. Bless them and release them. There's a reason for them at every stage. It may be difficult to hold onto them as time and priorities change. What was a "friend" when you were little? How about in the teen years? Now think about it as an adult or as a parent...totally different, right? And what about having people over now that it's your house? So much becomes clear about the way our parents did things as we discuss what friendships were, are, and hopefully become. We learn a little about when we're ready for friends (Maslow's hierarchy of needs makes its way out of the psychology textbooks, into our discussion and then into this post ) and how each one of us approaches these relationships now that we have spouses and kiddos to worry about, too.
