We’re entering a new quarter... the quarter of Bonding and Relationships (Aug 6 - Nov 5). Interesting that the I’Ching symbol that remains consistent over the next 8 weeks is water, which flows and, just like relationships, represents connectivity, emotions, and the more hidden aspects of life.
We are made mostly of water and that connects us all to each other and to the waters of the world.
For the week of August 6-11, the theme is leadership and how people play different roles when interacting with others.
The leadership we have a chance to witness and learn about is not "power over" but "power with" the people. This is so important for the times we’re living in! People coming together to support each other through contentious and/or bewildering issues.
Who you are being speaks louder than your words. We humans are relational beings. When you walk our talk (or not) you influence others more than you know!
Being mindful this week of the power of your influence, you can be a leader through "divide and conquer" or you can lead through "listen and guide", and by living true to yourself as much as possible.
