In today's episode Josh takes the reins in the second half and questions Bruce about all the 2019 Spiel des Jahres nominees which Bruce got to try while attending BGG.Spring. In addition Bruce talks about some of the games he was able to try at BGG.Spring in addition to the nominees, Josh talks about games he has been playing recently, there is a quick news segment to give updates on the US proposed board game tariff on Chinese goods. This is an extra large episode so that Bruce and Josh could get you all the information you want to know about the nominees. Enjoy!



The Spiel Nominees are broken into 3 categories. Game of the Year (Spiel des Jahres), Gamer Game of the Year (Kenner Spiel des Jahres), and Children's Game of the Year (Kinder Spiel des Jahres).



The Spiel Nominees are: Just One by Repos Production, WareWords by Bezier Games, and LAMA by AMIGO.



The Kenner Nominees are: Carpe Diem by Alea Games, Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game by Portal Games, and Wingspan by Stonemaier Games.



The Kinder Nominees are: Fabulantica by Pegasus Spiele, Go Gecko Go! by Zoch, and Tal Der Wikinger by HABA.



Other specific games discussed were: The Witch is Dead RPG One Shot by Grant Howitt (see link below for Reddit link), Tiny Towns by Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG), Batman: Gotham City Chronicles by Monolith, Feudum by Odd Bird Games, Endeavor: Age of Sale by Burnt Island Games and The Grand Gamers Guild, and Merlin by Queen Games
