This is a live recording to see how the bastl kastle can be played live with notes. I used iPulsaret on the iPad to play notes, using the kastle as the sound source. iPulsaret can process live audio and adds an adsr envelope and pitch to the input. To smoothen it, I just dropped in some reverb (I know probably too much!).

Walking the Line between Logic and Emotion.
Started my electronic hearing when I was a boy with movie scores like "Midnight Express" and sounds by John Carpenter, Jerry Goldsmith. Then in the 80ies I fell in love with the early club electronics that were part of the New Wave Aera in Europe (e.g. DM, Fad Gadget, The Normal, Human League, NitzerEbb, ...). Those early sounds had and will always have a large influence over my work and I want to thank all those great artists for their inspirational and creative work. They built my musical universe, my whole life.
