Colossians 1:9-14 A prayer set forth to please Yahweh
In every respect, the concern is to be filled with the knowledge of God.
Ephesians 4:11 and 12 – “Bishop” is episcope that literally means overseer, and Greek for deacons is diakoneo, literally one who runs to serve. These humble servants were to oversee the flock of God and guard the Word of God to ensure it was not corrupted.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
The prayer is that His knowledge is the dominant and persuasive influence in our lives. To be filled in such a way obviously requires constant and diligent study of the Scriptures and prayers.
Prayer is not an alternative for personal responsibility; rather, it precedes and accompanies personal responsibility.
Prayer is not a replacement for individual thinking and acting; rather, it works most often in concert with our thinking and acting.
Prayer is not a substitute for self-determination; rather, it is the counterpart to free will.
Ephesians 1:17 and 18 – Knowledge precedes wisdom, and wisdom understanding.
Wisdom, according to the dictionary, means “the power of true and right discernment and conformity to the course of action dictated by such discernment.”
Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 3:13-20; 4:1-13; and 24:3 Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding are often connected in the Scriptures. James 1:5-7
“Understanding” is the Greek word sunesis, meaning running together like the water in a river.
Colossians 1:10 The reason for the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding is that we walk in a manner worthy of the Lord to please Him. Ephesians 4:1
Colossians 1:11 Our constant aim is with all steadfastness and patience to give thanks joyously to the Father. Do not give up; keep on keeping on.
Luke 8:15 “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”
Romans 2:6-11 – The requirement for entrance into the Kingdom is faith that endures.
Ro 5:1-5 – “…We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience.”
Ro 8:25 “But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”
Ro 15:4 The men and women recorded in Hebrews 11 history provide examples.
