Pleasers & Punishers

Put down a $5 deposit on your pizza bag and get ready to turn from a pizza boy into a pizza man, because we’re venturing out to the wealthy suburbs to talk Chelsea Stardust’s horror romp.

We’ll trip over our own tongues, do impressions of wind instruments, and discuss so many of the delightful things that happen in this movie.

And if you get scared, just repeat to yourself: two fuzzy bunnies…two fuzzy bunnies…

We never wanted to be your podcast!

Just kidding, we love you and we’re just trying to protect you! And this week we’re joined by Scott Shoemaker to talk Ari Aster’s horrific family drama.

From deeply disturbing emotional responses to jokes about holes, we’re going everywhere in search of King Paimon and his gifts of wealth and knowledge. Plus, we dole out some parental advice, but we sure as hell aren’t having kids.

Content Warning for discussion of mental health, suicidal ideation, and familial abuse

Colin Smith joins us to talk this pitch-perfect Star Trek parody to end our month in space, complete with so much nerdery and love for both its inspiration and the final product.

It’s time for a deep dive into a floating taxi and discussions about aesthetics, gender, and whether or not humanity is worth saving.

We’re joined by our friend DeVaughn Taylor to talk about this space opera epic that we all wish was longer, and decry its director for being a PoS.

Don’t forget your multipass!

As we continue Spaced-Out September, we’re traveling through the Space Anus™ to Space Egypt to eat 5th Avenue bars and fight androgynous aliens.

From Kurt Russell’s terrible hair to James Spader’s amazing hair, we’re digging up everything we can for this iconic slice of science fiction.

Watch out for those warp tubes and the brain boiler!

We’re heading off to a hell dimension with plenty of tangents on the way as we discuss Mr. Milla Jovovich’s “Hellraiser in space.”

Jarrod Hornbeck from Puppet Masters & Castle Freaks joins us to talk about the incredible practical effects, the terrible CGI, the vacuum of space, concert festivals, Latin, and more!

Where we’re going, we won’t need eyes to see…

Friend of the show Tomi Trembath is back to help us travel to 1987 and kick the shit out of a bunch of nazis in our last film of Anthology August.

We’re digging into the history of Oakland with these stories all (partially) based on true events for a true underdog story. So watch for that glowing green light, be honest with your grandchildren about vampires, and aim for the throat.

Nazi punks fuck off!

Follow us into the basement and come get “The Shit” because we’re talking one of the best anthology films of all time.

We’ll thirst over writer/director/actor Rusty Cundieff, condemn the existence of racists, and question the excessive use of strobing, all while falling into our usual fits of giggles.

Welcome to the pod, motherfuckers!
