Today is Flag Day so discuss the American Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance.  We do a deep dive on the history of the Pledge from an article written by Connor Boyack that shows the socialist and authority loving goals of the Pledge’s author.  I share some the portions of the Pledge that I like and the parts that I struggle with.  We also discuss getting an American flag for my home, Colin Kaepernick, Francis Bellamy, the Civil War, Kiwanis, and Carl Sagan.
