Pink Noise Posse

PN_40 from head to heart with Aaron Kahlow

Listen Later

My guest today is a Social Wellness Advocate. He's committed to helping all of us find meaningful connection to self, other and community. In this conversation, he shares wise words about slowing down to connect to self, to better connect with another. The antidote to loneliness is belonging. Belonging takes courage, to show up as yourself. Aaron shares from the heart after decades of being in his head, focused on productivity as a path to success. His map of what success means has shifted as he considers his own humanity and re-prioritizes personal and social wellness. Building communities for like-minded humans to gather, to be witnessed in their triumphs and in their sorrows, this is what matters to Aaron. If you follow your wounds, you will likely find your calling he says, your way to make a unique difference in the world. This rings true for me, and many I know.
His 4 top tips of how more men can get out of their heads and into their hearts (ps: it works for women and other folx too)
1. take more space for you
2. ask deeper questions of your life (like what’s not working? what do you value?)
3. take stock of your relationships where you trust the container
4. notice your consumption: how do you spend time?
Produced for Cafe Racer Radio, original broadcast July 18, 2021.
