Programmes of Activities (PoAs) have been introduced to overcome some of the challenges associated with implementing Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects. PoA’s are of particular relevance in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) due to their potential to contribute to reduce poverty. This webinar, the second in a series organized jointly by UNDP through its MDG Carbon Programme and the World Bank Institute Climate Change (WBICC) Practice, will provide an overview of key elements to successfully develop a PoA and share practical experience of a Coordinating/Managing Entity in setting-up and implementing a multi-country PoA.

The lessons learned in this webinar include Letter of Approval (LoA) issuance, obtaining financial support for the establishment of a PoA, data handling with storage, and contractual arrangements with component programme activities (CPAs) under a PoA.
