Pocket-sized Croup: Lets Talk Treatment

Listen Later

In the first episode of Lets Talk Treatment Sam discusses the common presentation of croup and the paramedic management of croup in Australia.
#There is strong evidence supporting the use of steroids in the management of croup although this is not practiced in all jurisdictions
#Nebulised adrenaline is the mainstay for emergency management due to the fast acting vasoconstriction to reduce swelling.

For a more detailed discussion into the pathophysiology of croup, please see the previous episode, Pocket-sized Croup.
