"Penguin" Pete joins Greg this episode to discuss the week's new releases: the neon alien splatter of "Jimmy & Stiggs" in theaters; "Eddington" hits VOD; Marcell "Son of the White Mare" Jankovics' epic literary animation "The Tragedy of Man" arrives in the US on Blu-ray for the first time ever; the entire "Toxic Avenger" series hits 4K; John Carpenter's "incomprehensible" "Prince of Darkness" in a 4K UHD steelbook; and seminal anime "Vampire Hunter D" arrives on Blu-ray (surprisingly) for the first time in North America.
ERRATA AND OMISSIONS:*"Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD" (1990) was actually made after the first "Toxic Avenger" sequels (1989). The Troma movie Greg was actually thinking of was "Class of Nuke 'Em High" (1986).*John Carpenter did have another hit after "Prince of Darkness" (1987) in "They Live" (1988).*"Vampire Hunter D" (1985) actually predates Akira (1988) (although its introduction to the US may have been spurred by the interest in anime raised by "Akira").
