Steve Lee started skiing at the age of three, by the time he was 22 he was competing in the 1984 winter Olympics in Sarajevo, he then went on to compete in the 1988 Calgary Olympics and then the 1992 Albertville Olympics. Today he spends his time between Falls Creek, Australia and Hakuba, Japan. He operates Back Country Tours at Falls Creek.
