According to Paul, what’s at jeopardy when our hearts and minds are focused on idolatry? The Glory of God. Paul ties the Glory of God to our union with Christ and our hearts desire for the Glory of God and more than that, reflecting the Glory of God. In Chapter 10, Paul highlights three varied engagements that put the Glory of God at risk in our living – sexual immorality, grumbling, and giving in to temptation. He links these things to the theme of idolatry. Very interesting. Looking forward to exploring Paul’s teaching for us in 1 Corinthians 10.
