Podcast #284 – Coach Laura Stebbins

Listen Later

After collecting one bajillion red bracelets in Lake Placid, Laura Stebbins became an Ironman Record-Setting volunteer. If it has something to do with racing, Laura Stebbins will find it. Participate in a triathlon or aquabike? Sure… anytime. Run a half-marathon with one of the athletes she coaches? Of course. And if she can’t participate, she volunteers. Whether applying sunscreen, handing out medals, or cheering on us back-of-the-packers, Laura is out there doing it. And always with a smile.

Her coaching career is taking off, as athletes flock to her form of charismatic support. But if you’re racing against her, don’t let the smile fool you. This podium-seeker is out to compete next year, and I wouldn’t want to get in her way.
