What a crazy race day this past Sunday in Washington, DC. Pouring rain made faces miserable and PR’s scarce. And while the Garmin watches may not be ringing with “New Records,” the medals come with impressive memories of perseverance and grit. Congratulations to all the #TeamOrdinary members who courageously roughed it over 26.2 miles.
Of all the negative side effects from the rain – be it heavy shoes, puddles, blisters – perhaps none is as annoyingly painful as chaffed nipples. I know. I’ve been there. The rain can increase the chances of experiencing this, but with the right planning, it’s completely avoidable. So as a post race-recap bonus, I fill you in on my effective way to avoid bloody nips.
