Riding my bike indoors is generally considered much safer than riding outdoors. Maybe not last Saturday, when I rode right up against The Murder Line, and then had to ditch my ride without finishing the course. It was still a successful ride and I was able to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. We’ll save The Pretzel Badge for another day.
Two types of runs this weekend with two different successes. On Friday, I went after my recent 5k PR, and tied it. Probably should have had a better plan from the outset, but it was some great work and I’m pretty excited to be able to run a 27:53 at this point in training.
Sunday’s long run was 10-miles. It was the first time I tried to run this psychologically satisfying distance in over a year. I wasn’t intimidated. In fact, I was fairly confident. In the end, I got it done with energy to spare. It feels like training is really starting to take off! #TrainingWorks
