Podcast #421 – Ordinary Marathon Recap

Listen Later

“This is the greatest thing we’ve ever done,” Stefany told me as Saturday’s Run For the Fallen miles ticked by throughout the morning. She just might be right.

Our annual 10-day running event, The Ordinary Marathon, was an extra-special occasion this year for more reasons than one. We took things to the next level this year, setting a theme for every day of the race. Most of these themes related directly to causes supported by the Ordinary Marathoner Foundation.

We thank all of the participants for going above and beyond. Some of you achieved incredible things – a first ever half marathon, a first ever full marathon, (we think) a new record for longest distance, a 6-fingered man, a 12-hour race, and someone who ran 24 miles – one for each name on our Run For the Fallen list.

These were just some of the highlights I witnessed over the last ten days, and I’m sure there were more that I am missing. Thank you to everyone for participating this year and we hope you come back and join us for 2022 – when the greatest virtual race gets even greater. (I know… how is that even possible?)

THANK YOU!
