The referral process takes a while, but once you are in the system with a psychiatrist they can help you access many OHIP covered resources, prescribe you medication if needed, and sometimes provide therapy themselves.Note that if you are opted into healthcare insurance at Ryerson: “Students can access external counselling services using their RSU Health Plan, which covers up to $1000 per academic year (ie.
