Today, we need to understand the grandfather clause, the Alabama literacy tests and other Jim Crow laws, since similar tactics are being used by them to eliminate groups of citizens from being able
to vote. You have a chance to hear about the actions by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to restore full power to the Voting Rights Act.
Finally, you will hear how the SPLC is using their Our
Learning for Justice Program to push back against the states mandating censorship in public schools. We need to stop Trump and MAGA Republicans from creating a culture of intimidation for teachers and students across our country.
