When it comes to a child’s athletic skills, parental objectivity goes right out the window. You are either too easy or too hard, and I’m guessing that the tendency for most parents is to err on the side of over-rating their kid’s abilities, rather than under-rating.

In today’s podcast, we start a new series focusing on Practice Steps You Can Take to Help Your Child Become a Better Athlete. To begin, we must first talk about how to get a realistic view of your child’s abilities.

John teaches parents and coaches how to create an athlete-centered youth sports environment, and coach for positive significance rather than outcome driven goals and objectives.
