Hi everyone, in this podcast I will sing two songs in the chorus and tell about the meaning of the song.
The following is the chorus of the first song with the title of Something Just Like This that I can sing.
She said, where'd you wanna go?
How much you wanna risk?
I'm not looking for somebody
With some superhuman gifts
Some superhero
Some fairytale bliss
Just something I can turn to
Somebody I can kiss
I want something just like this
A song with the title Something Just Like This tells about a man who is inferior approaches his idol woman. It seems that the woman is beautiful and liked by many cool men. So that the man felt he did not deserve the woman when compared to other great men. Whereas the woman in choosing a partner does not look at status, appearance, material, or whatever, she views that a good man is a man who understands women's feelings and loves him as he is and does not have to be a superhuman or superhero, other than being himself.
Then, the following is the chorus of the second song with the title of On My Way that I can sing.
So take aim and fire away
I've never been so wide awake
No, nobody but me can keep me safe
And I'm on my way
The blood moon is on the rise
The fire burning in my eyes

And I'm on my way
A song with the title On My Way tells about a woman who is forced to leave the person she loves in search of a new, better life. Actually the woman was very sad because she had to leave the person she loved but she seemed to cover up that sadness. The person he loves also never understands his heart because it always seems to be ignored.
My experience after practicing new vocabulary from listening to two English songs and applying the vocabulary in daily life is that I feel happy and understand the vocabulary and can add new vocabulary. listening to songs can also entertain myself and that is one of the things I like, so it makes me very enthusiastic in learning it and that way I can learn to find vocabulary from the songs I listen to. I think it is the most effective thing to improve learning English by listening to songs.
