Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Hi everyone! My name is Ika Risnawati, in this fifteenth week journal, I will sing two songs in the chorus then describe the meaning of the song, and tell my experience.
•
The following is the chorus of the first song with the title "A Thousand Years" that i can sing.
- I have died every day waiting for you
- Darling don't be afraid
- I have loved you for a thousand years
- I'll love you for a thousand more
The song, entitled A Thousand Years, tells of a woman who expresses her feelings to the man she loves. In an effort to express his feelings, he patiently waited with all his heart, with faith, sincerity and love, even he was willing to wait like 100 years. In the end his efforts paid off, because someone seemed to love him too.

The following is the chorus of the second song with the title "At My Worst" that i can sing.
- I need somebody who can love me at my worst
- No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
- 'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
- And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst.

The song, entitled At My Worst, tells about someone who needs sincere love and what it is in times of joy and sorrow. And he will show true love by making sure that he will always be loyal and can love him for who he is. If the relationship continues, he will be the only person who belongs to his partner and vows to always love his partner's ugliness.

My experience after practicing the new vocabulary of the song makes me happy and not easily bored because I can learn English through the song and find new vocabulary. In my opinion, the easiest way to learn English is by listening to songs, and listening to songs is my hobby. When listening to a song, I feel more relaxed and very challenged to try to understand the meaning and lyrics of the song I am listening to. The changes I feel after practicing vocabulary and sentences are that I get new vocabulary in English to learn, become more understanding and less complicated when practicing speaking, feel more enthusiastic in learning English, and can enrich the vocabulary we learn.
