This week we learn about the power of words.
As we have our day to day interactions, how do our words have power to build up and also destroy? For Christians, we are called to understand the basic principle of how we should speak graciously to all people who are made in the image of God.
We will see that James is not asking for perfection, but we will learn that the goal is still a good goal to work toward now, because in challenging ourselves to be careful with our tongue has a bigger benefit – that of the health of the whole body, our character and attitude in our Christian life - To show the world how Jesus has and continues to change us, and so glorify the one who died for our sins and rose again.
