In June 2020, Sheriff Fortney met Chris Anderson and Jordan Jeffries of America’s Promise Project (APP). Over the last 18 months, they have worked to develop new ways to build trust and bridge the gap between law enforcement and communities of color in Snohomish County. Throughout this year, APP will take a deeper look into the behind the scenes operations of the Sheriff’s Office as they strive to bring important information to our communities through a racial equity lens.
