Podcast Episode: Paradox of Slowing Down to Go Farther

Listen Later

In this modern life a lot of people are always busy and often in a hurry. We’ve created a society where a lot of things seem important and urgent. People want to keep up with everything.

When you speed up and you want to get as much done as you possibly can, rushing and hurrying along with everybody else, you will always feel like you’re running behind schedule, always running late and running out of time.

You’ve then put yourself at the mercy of endless productivity. Surrendered to the demon of urgency and getting more things done.

Slowing down will make your more aware of your surroundings and really see where you are and what is there. You will be more mindful and experience increasing moments of peace and bliss. You will inspire others and influence your environment with your calmness. You will think more clearly and act accordingly.
We are joined by the wonderful Tamara Nerima. Tamara is a marketing strategist currently working as the Marketing Communication Director and Sustainability Manager for Scania East Africa.

She has a background in economics but pivoted toward marketing and sustainability where she has been working for over 10 years for various organizations including BBC, BBC World Service and Mobisol GMBH.

With a track record of successfully delivering campaigns and driving strategy, she is now focused on leading the conversation around sustainable transport and sustainable business practices within the transport industry.
