Prior to entrepreneurship, James was at SoftBank Vision Fund, where he worked on strategic transformations at WeWork and Arm, and led Social Impact initiatives such as SoftBank’s COVID-19 response and UNICEF/ITU GIGA, an initiative funded by Elon Musk and endorsed by the UN Secretary General to connect every school to the internet.
He was previously a McKinsey consultant, where he was also Head of UK Business Development at Generation, a youth employment charity. He graduated from LSE with First Class Honours in Government as Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholar in 2016, and was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2019.
