Prospects for Rail Transportation to Bring More Visitors and Economic Vitality to the Berkshires

Three rail projects are currently in various stages of discussion and planning in the Berkshires. Two of the proposals would increase rail travel between New York City and Berkshire County. Another could someday provide high-speed rail between Pittsfield and Boston.
