Wanna see me pop a rage-boner? Just say the word, “SERIAL.” Hate. Them. Whatever happened to the good old fashioned notion of putting all your shit into one satisfying book instead of these cliffies that feel like the equivalent of a cock block?
Hero/heroine are commencing to have a cage match with their genitals.  BUT NO. STOP.  You better plug up the ovary cannon in your pants because you have to wait for the next installment for the big finish.
Big effin’ misunderstanding explodes all over everyone like a premature ejaculation. Sorry. Have to wait for the next installment to wipe up.
Scary bidness is about to go down. Blood could be shed. Oh, yeah, it’s totally going down. Totally. Seriously. JK! It’s not. Wait for the next installment to see if you need to call CSI.
Great! Now that little vein in my temple is starting to throb. Sorry for the rant, but with over 4,000 books in my Kindle library, it’s impossible for me to keep track of serials. I may read the first and second one, but when an author has many installments, the odds of me completing go down exponentially. Now, there are lots of great authors that are doing this, and I hate missing out on their books.  Maybe you have some inside intel on how publishing works. Here’s my question—do most authors end up combining their serials into one book when they’re done? If so, do you have an estimated time of when this generally occurs, e.g., a month after the conclusion of the serial?  Six months? The twelfth of mother-humping never?!  It just seems like they’re all over the place. And how do you feel about serials? Do you think they’re only going to continue to grow in popularity? Because, if so, in the immortal words of Jimmy Fallon, “Ew.”
