Alex Sarabia, Valedictorian of his Roma High School Class and a DELL Scholar, shares his story growing up in the Rio Grande Valley. He describes his childhood growing up in a border town and provides insight on the skills necessary to succeed. Alex has been a psychology professor for over 10 years and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for over 8 years. He possesses two Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Alex shares on the importance of soft skills, provides life advice, and why he chose to stay in the valley to pursue his career.
Alex Sarabia also serves as co-host of the YouTube show “RGV Stars,” where he has interviewed the top celebrities and community leaders of the Rio Grande Valley. Alex practiced individual, couples, group and family psychotherapy/counseling at Abundant Grace Counseling Center and at Renaissance Behavioral Hospital both in Edinburg, TX. Alex is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), American Counseling Association (ACA), other associations, and has received numerous recognitions for his community involvement.
