She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from UVA, a Master's in Developmental Psychiatry from Cambridge University, a Master's in Child Psychology from Vanderbilt and a PhD in Child Psychology. She also has a new book called What To Do When You Feel Like Hitting: A No Hitting Book for Toddlers.
In this episode we talk about praise, criticism and behavior in early childhood. We discussed parenting strategies, ways to handle toddler aggression, types of praise and criticism and their impact on young children and also the new CDC norms that came out recently.
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to identify seven evidence-based ways to handle toddler aggression, identify types of praise and criticism, describe the impacts of praise and criticism on young children and also discuss changes in CDC milestones.
