We’ve been in the dark about Halo: Infinite since E3’s tech demo of the Slipspace engine, but that all changed with the past week’s 343 social stream. While there’s still a lot left in the shadows, we received official confirmation on a few community desires, like 4-player split-screen and PC play and a few more hints like Reach-style customization and playable Elites. We’ll undoubtedly hear more about Infinite in 2019, but based on the flighting program they described, this game will not see store shelves until 2020 at the earliest. A lot of buzz has been generated around Infinite now and now it’s time to take a look back at 2018.
