Van Andrew is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for his thoughtful lyrics, genre-blending sound, and deeply emotional storytelling. Originally from Northwest Washington and with roots in Texas, Van Andrew developed his musical voice steeped in indie rock, folk, pop, and country influences, creating songs that resonate with raw feeling and cinematic atmosphere.  

Van Andrew began writing and performing music at a young age, often retreating to the back pastures of his childhood farm to play guitar and craft songs inspired by life, heartache, and personal reflection. He independently released a string of singles and his debut EP Half the Man in 2019, followed by additional projects that showcased his growth as a songwriter.  

He gained wider public attention as a contestant on Season 19 of The Voice, where his soulful voice and authentic interpretations, including his audition performance of The Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes”, earned him a spot on Gwen Stefani’s team. His time on the show helped elevate his profile and introduced his music to a broader audience.  

Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, Van Andrew continues to write and release music that bridges genres and emotions, with notable songs like Sad Cowboys and Rock and Roll (feat. Victoria Bigelow), I’m Fine, Highwire, and his 2025 single Liar in Cowboy Boots. His work has garnered attention on streaming platforms and cultivated a dedicated fanbase drawn to his authentic voice and compelling narratives.
