Hello everyone! I am back home in Kuala Lumpur after my vacation in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. This is actually a place of warm weather but this time, it rained heavily and the weather gradually became more and more humid and cloudy. Since it is so rare, I captured a video of the rainy day from the balcony of our condominium.
At the beginning of the trip, the weather was so warm that my mother almost got a heatstroke. It was scorching heat and as we were out at a dessert outlet, suddenly she complained of severe throbbing pain in her head. I guess it was like a migraine. She couldn't even have the dessert much and we rushed back to the car and turned the air-conditioning on. Miraculously the headache went away about ten minutes later.
So this rainy day was the next day where we had some plans to go to the botanical garden but due to the rain we had to cancel that. We figured that it would be muddy and inconvenient to walk around a forest area during rain so I guess tha trip will have to wait for the next visit to Penang. Since I was stuck at home waiting for the skies to clear, I took a video and wrote a poem to describe the rainy day.
The following is the poem :
Georgetown, oh Georgetown,
It is only the crack of dawn,
I feel so caged down,
This house is my little barn,
I hope you find my poem entertaining and not silly. I tried to end each sentence with 'wn' so they all rhyme with each other. I am not much of a poet but I do enjoy trying to come up with a poem especially one that suits the present situation at the time. Thank you for dropping by and I wish you a wonderful, poetic day ahead.
