Poem- Solomon or Someone?

Wisdom is a journey and not a destination

Pursue it daily, as when you learn something new, you are better off than yesterday

The chariot to get there is education, as now you know and have grown from no to knew and now to new

Obtaining it is elusive as wisdom learnt and kept to oneself

Is the dearth to that knowledge

The kingdom of knowledge is vast as it deep & wide, a solid creation

Of what use is a light hidden under a table

When there’s a meal set on the table waiting to be devoured, appreciatively?

Trying to romanticise it as a candlelight dinner

Is not only cheeky but tricky if the dinner was only set for one person, by the chef who’s also the solo diner

So you want to eat alone, in the dark? What if we all chose to do so?

If you have some wise knowledge to share, make the time and spare that moment to give some

Just like one candle 🕯 can be used to light 💡another, so can wisdom be passed on like the baton at a relay race

For as a gold medalist team, together, we will win some

not only for one but also for all of us.

So what is wisdom I foolishly and cleverly ask?

As what’s obvious to you may not be to me and vice versa

To quote the world renowned Oxford Dictionary

“The quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgement; the quality of being wise”

In irony or jest, ’in reference to a person whose suggestion is not a well judged as an action then it’s referred to as in Someone’s wisdom.’

Try not be that someone instead follow the words of the wise and be like the famous king Solomon!
